Founded by Chicagoans Mike and Mariann Stanton in January 2010 after the death of their 4 year –old son Danny, the Danny Did Foundation works toward its mission to prevent deaths caused by seizures with two main goals in mind: (1) advancing awareness of Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) and enhancing the SUDEP communication model between medical professionals and those afflicted by seizures, and (2) the mainstreaming of seizure detection and prediction devices that may assist in preventing deaths caused by seizures.

Saturday December 1st will be a special night for music lovers to benefit Danny Did.
After the doors open at 7 pm, the evening will be kicked off by August Son (http://www.augustsonmusic.com/) and its lead singer Sean O’Malley at 8 pm. At 10 pm, Northwest Side favorites In Spite Of Ourselves will take the stage.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or at the door.
One of the Chicago’s premier music venues, The Abbey Pub is located at 3420 W. Grace St. in Chicago.

In Spite Of Ourselves
In Spite of Ourselves is a band formed in 2009 that is based on the Northside of Chicago and plays a mix of Irish Folk, Roots Rock, Southern, Country Rock, Classic Rock, and Oldies. We play a fun mix of music and routinley entertain audiences at a number of venues across the Chicago area. Our members inlcude:

August Son
August Son is an original rock and roll band from Chicago. The August Son sound has been described as true "Heartland" rock and roll. A combination of strong melodies and beautiful vocal harmonies (sometimes up to as many as four part vocal harmonies) has audiences describing August Son's songs as the Jayhawks meets the Beatles meets REM meets Foo Fighters.
