Legend Haz It
Legend Haz It
“We started out with a common goal,” says emcee, Keith “Legend Mane” Winford. “I met this drummer named Dan Pratt in the dorms at Northern Illinois University the first day of our freshman year. Even though we were raised in different places and had different backgrounds, we discovered a common bond in the music that we had listened to growing up, and we both had a desire to fill a musical void in our lives.“

Legend Haz It was born out of an attempt to fill this musical void. While living in the dorms, Pratt and Winford spoke occasionally about forming a band, but it was not until two years later that Legend Haz It came to be. “We found a group of guys who believed that something was missing in current music and wanted to create that missing link,” says Winford. “The first song that we ever wrote pretty much sums up what we are trying to accomplish.”

This song, “Catch My Dreams,” the single off of their self-titled debut EP, speaks of the band’s desire to find success—both musically and spiritually, amidst a financially daunting reality. “To us, success is creating music that is relevant to us—relevant to now. Music with a message,” Winford says.

For those who have been following Legend Haz It, their success has become increasingly apparent with the release of their debut EP, their opening performance for Lyfe Jennings, Yung Joc, and T-Pain, and their ever-growing fanbase throughout the Midwest and beyond. With Keith Winford’s lyricism and the blazing horn riffs and solos of trumpeter Ryan Nyther and trombonist Ron Jacoby, in conjunction with the Soul, Jazz, and R&B influenced grooves of keyboardist Collin Clauson, bassist Tim Ipsen, and drummer Dan Pratt, the band is well on its way to creating a sound and message that will maintain the longevity and legacy of a Legend.
The Peachtree
The Peachtree
The Peachtree is a Hip-Hop/ Latin Rock band born in Aurora, IL during the late winter of 2008. Not trying to fulfill any particular genre, but instead creating their own sound, The Peachtree has managed to reach a large number of fans that are just as eclectic as their own sound.

Jesus Diaz and Carlos Jacobo, the band’s founders and vocalists, had an idea to combine the basic rhythms of traditional rock with their own Hip-Hop sound. This combination created a unique sound that doesn’t fit any traditional genre, but has filled an area of long awaited need.

The premier album, “Did You Hear What I Said” was released in May of 2010, its sound was heavily influenced by, Rage Against the Machine, Ozomatli, Goldfinger, Eric B and Rakim, Common, NOFX, Reel Big Fish, 311, Rancid, and De La Soul, etc.

After the success of “Did You Hear What I Said”, The Peachtree wanted to expand its sound and include more Latin influences. The Peachtree’s new direction is to make the best of their abilities, continue to create genuinely artistic music and to succeed by making the biggest impact possible in the music world.
